Our body houses all of our senses, our emotions, and most obviously our functions such as eating, sleeping, and walking. It is something that is with us from the beginning until the end. No matter what we do, our body is always with us. Yet, for some reason, many people are very disconnected from their bodies.
...while listening to music is inspiring, uplifting, drives us to anger, or creates peace within us, making your own music is where the real value is. It doesn’t matter if you are good at it, if you can carry a tune, remember words or play an instrument. Just make music!
Breathing is something we do ALWAYS. Everywhere we go, every thing we do, every thought we have, every emotion we feel, is accompanied by the breath. That is why the simple act of breathing is one of the foundations of a healthy Mindfulness practice.
